Meet
Dr. Arooj Akram
My journey into health and wellbeing has been shaped by both personal experience and a lifelong passion for understanding people. I began my academic path with an undergraduate degree in Business Information Management before returning to education as a mature student to follow my true calling, supporting others.
I completed a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Supporting Individuals with Additional Support Needs, working closely with vulnerable adults and children, which deepened my understanding of empathy, care, and human resilience. Building on that foundation, I went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Applied Psychology, followed by a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology.

Through this training, I developed a deep appreciation for the biopsychosocial-spiritual model, understanding health and well-being through the lens of the body, mind, environment, and spirit. This approach inspired me to launch my holistic care services, offering support that integrates evidence-based psychology with traditional healing practices. Identifying from an ethnic minority background, inclusivity, equality, and cultural understanding are central to my work.

My mission is to make holistic and psychological support accessible to all communities, irrespective of background, gender, or faith, promoting healing, balance, and empowerment in a safe, welcoming environment. Alongside my professional journey, fitness has always been a key part of my wellbeing. From school exams to doctoral research, running has served as my coping strategy and a source of clarity and strength. This passion for movement led me to explore how the body and mind are deeply connected, sparking my curiosity about anatomy, the muscular system, and the healing potential of both physical activity and psychological resilience.
Today, my practice reflects this balance, combining science, spirituality, and compassion to help others live healthier, more fulfilling lives - with holistic therapy available.
